YOGA & MEDITATION

HAUS OF CONSERVATION YOGA: WILD & FREE YOGA WORKSHOP

HoC offer such a Meaningful Asana Practice and raise funds and awareness of great causes. It’s lovely to experience such different settings and/or focus… it keeps adding layers to the Yoga Practice both above the surface and deep within. Yoga can often feel repetitive when it’s your regular practice, So this is absolutely refreshing and a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend!

HAUS OF CONSERVATION YOGA: WILD & FREE YOGA WORKSHOP

I had the pleasure of attending Marks yoga flow workshop today and left totally zen and at one with nature. Mark is such a kind and fun instructor that despite some seriously challenging postures we were all smiling throughout. I have never done yoga in a nature  before, but it’s something I hope to do much more of, what a lovely way to start the day. I would jump at the chance to do it again.

HAUS OF CONSERVATION YOGA: PRIVATE YOGA INTENSIVE COURSE

Chris and I have been practising yoga for about 15 years now, with various instructors (Mark among them), and we wanted to deepen our practice and knowledge, not only of the various asanas, but also about anatomy and physiology, as well as yoga history and philosophy. We approached Mark. He understood exactly what we wanted, and devised a course for us – a two-hour weekly session, which we have attended for the past six months. Mark is so knowledgeable, inspiring and professional, and the course more than met our expectations. We learnt so much more about alignment, and even managed to achieve certain poses that we had previously thought impossible! Just as important, the course incorporated a thorough history of the philosophy of yoga, anatomy and physiology. He set us regular homework, and it was enjoyable and challenging to study between classes. Thank you, Mark, for a great experience. It was the right decision to come to you!

PERFORMANCE ART

THE HAUS OF CONSERVATION SHOW: DREAMS OF THE WILD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BORN FREE FOUNDATION

Such an amazing show, honestly the performers from Haus of Conservation put their heart and soul into Dreams of The Wild. I know how much effort blood sweat and tears must’ve gone into that from the concept, choreography, rehearsals, costumes, imagery, voice overs, props, and technical details, it didn’t go unnoticed. Loved it, Haus of Conservation and the Born Free Foundation should be so proud.

THE HAUS OF CONSERVATION SHOW: DREAMS OF THE WILD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BORN FREE FOUNDATION

Dreams of the wild was a show like no other. A show which was totally thought provoking, and performed in a very creative and engaging way. Dreams of the wild surpassed all expectations; it was a slick and clever combination of professional dance, music and education rolled into one. It is awesome to know that many schools were able to watch the show, as well as take part in educational workshops to compliment the show. The Haus of Conservation and The Born Free Foundation should be very proud of the show, the workshops, and their partnership.

THE HAUS OF CONSERVATION SHOW: DREAMS OF THE WILD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BORN FREE FOUNDATION

Mark Lee Davies' production of "Dreams of the Wild" for the Born Free Foundation was outstanding. The world has entered the Anthropocene period in which human activity has become the dominant influence on climate and the environment - this is a concept that people find hard to take in and harder to make everyday changes that they feel will make a difference. "Dreams of the Wild" showed us ways in which we, as individuals, can make a difference & address the feeling of helplessness whilst our "leaders" remain recalcitrant in their attitude. This message to us all was wrapped up in a series of very entertaining dance routines and images. Nothing better than an enjoyable evening with an important message!

THE HAUS OF CONSERVATION SHOW: DREAMS OF THE WILD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BORN FREE FOUNDATION

"Dreams of the Wild" is an evocative and thought provoking show that addresses some of the most important issues of injustice facing other animals, humans and our planet. Through the creative power of dance, music, narration and photography Mark and his colleagues at Haus of Conservation beautifully portray themes of sadness and hope. It's a must-see!

THE HAUS OF CONSERVATION SHOW: DREAMS OF THE WILD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BORN FREE FOUNDATION

"Mark and his dancers delivered a deeply compelling, creative performance in Dreams of the Wild. Mesmerising use of symbolism throughout the show, waking us up to vital role that must be played by each of us as individuals to conserve wildlife, the planet and ourselves. Punchy music, choreography, and a constant stream of images all combined to entertain, educate and inspire. This really is a performance not to be missed, and will wake you up to how your own daily choices impact the environment around you"

THE HAUS OF CONSERVATION SHOW: DREAMS OF THE WILD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BORN FREE FOUNDATION

A fabulous evening spent out with friends whilst supporting a great cause, protecting our world, and our wildlife. The Dreams of the Wild performance certainly took us on an unforgettable and passionate journey allowing us to connect to the natural world, whilst drawing our awareness of human imprint, both good and bad, on our world, through a creative and innovative theatrical performance. The performance, thoughtfully planned and organised, the choreography, beautifully executed, and the narrative, strong and unmistakably powerful, leaving a powerful and impactful message on all of us. We left Dorking Halls, feeling more connected to our natural world, and having a deeper understanding of animal and environmental conservation. The performance speaks to all of us, of any age, but as an educator, I strongly believe that all children should have the opportunity to be immersed in the meaningful and inspiring journey that Mark Lee Davies and his performers take you on as they raise animal, environmental and human conservation awareness. Afterall, they too are our planet's future. Congratulations Haus of Conservation and Born Free!

DANCE

HAUS OF CONSERVATION STREET DANCE

Mark provides a class that keeps the mind engaged and the body moving. Through his engaging choreography, I have managed to tackle movement that I didn’t think possible. Making me feel more centred, giving me better endurance and confidence in my post baby body. He has also created a enjoyable, welcoming environment to come and focus on yourself for a little bit each week, alongside a fantastic bunch of people. My cheeks always hurt from laughing and smiling!’

HAUS OF CONSERVATION STREET DANCE

I've never had so much fun on a Monday night! Mark is a great teacher- we learn moves, techniques and a complete routine over 4-5 weeks and we always have a laugh at ourselves at the same time! It's amazing how 'put together' the routine looks by the end. Great exercise, great fun and all for a great cause too, The Haus of Conservation.

EDUCATION

Haus of Conservation’s workshops and performances are both educational and physically engaging. Proving a unique and refreshing balance between content and whole-body learning, while covering complex and emotive topics in a way that engages different learning styles and promotes, and utilises, the creative arts.
